UK MASK FORCE
UK Mask Force is a small team of British and American medical experts and entrepreneurs who are based in the UK and China. They have partnered together to help the NHS and Care Homes meet the desperate need for face mask supplies.
Using your donations and our experience we will be acquiring high quality FFP2, FFP3, Surgical Masks and other PPE to give to the NHS and Care Home workers.
COVID-19 needs no introduction. As the world scrambles to prevent the virus spreading, it has become clear that critical equipment is in a chronic situation of short supply. The government seems to be struggling to get the correct equipment at the necessary speed, so UK Mask Force has decided to bring its skills into play with the supply of PPE equipment, in particular face masks.
NHS doctors, nurses, ambulance crews, cleaners and other hospital workers are exposed to COVID-19 as they treat and look after those victims of this virulent disease. Now there is increasing evidence to suggest that the severity of the illness is significantly influenced by how much virus a person is exposed to and it is believed that the higher the “virus load” the more severe the illness may become. This is very likely to be the reason why we are seeing nurses and doctors of all ages, with no pre-existing medical conditions, dying. These NHS workers are the brave and without enough PPE they are inexcusably exposed.
The staff and residents of care homes found in every corner of the UK, are, like NHS workers being put into an incredibly dangerous situation. It is very clear that those people over the age of 70yrs are most at risk and any PPE equipment that can be supplied to a Care Home is an invaluable asset to the workers and the residents, and will help to save the lives of those who are often very frail in their older years. Prevention is so important and it helps to reduce the overcrowding of Intensive Care Units and unnecessary deaths.
